Caroline E. Schiavo joined the fundraising team at Sustainable Development Africa (SDA) in May 2025. She focuses on identifying fundraising opportunities, including grants, donor partnerships, and creative campaigns, and contributes to proposal writing and long-term strategy development.
Caroline has over five years of nonprofit experience, including roles at Clean Air Task Force and Environmental Defense Fund, where she supported global foundation partnerships and major donor stewardship. Her passion for environmental causes, particularly energy access in sub-Saharan Africa, aligns with SDA’s mission.
Caroline holds a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Richmond.

ANDERSON
Multidisciplinary professional with nearly 14 years' experience in Emergency Medicine, Emergency Preparedness, and Disaster Response. He has an undergraduate degree in health sciences and a Master's degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health Education from California State University, Northridge.
Has been to Zambia, Africa as a medical professional in August of 2017 assisting in a medical mission. Also serves as a consultant advisor to the International Medical Corps, volunteering with Team Rubicon and Red Cross in the Los Angeles area. Currently works for the Emergency Medical Service Authority (EMSA) for the State of California as a Program Manager. He has a deep interest in studying deadly viruses in his spare time and trying to golf well too.
